Our Mission Statement &
Values

At Serenity Animal Assisted Intervention our mission is to work with children to overcome challenges in their lives. We do this through a Life Coaching format where children engage within a bespoke curriculum to help overcome the challenges they face in life. This could include Confidence Boosting, Reducing Anxiety and Improving Communication Skills. Please see the Examples of Work webpage for more information around our bespoke work.

At Serenity, we believe in the transformative power of the human-animal bond. Our values of Confidence, Creativity, Courage and Community lie at the heart of what we do. We look to instil confidence in children through our creative bespoke curriculum with animal interactions. During this process we encourage children to show courage in their work. There will be times where we work outside of our comfort zones and this is where we grow as an individual. We aim for children to take the experience of overcoming challenges out into the community. Serenity Values:

    1. Confidence in Quality: We uphold the highest standards in animal assisted intervention. Our commitment to excellence ensures that every interaction leaves a lasting positive impact.

    2. Creativity in our approaches: We embrace creativity as a catalyst for our work. Our innovative curriculum and interventions are designed to inspire children to overcome their challenges. From art therapy sessions to interactive play, we encourage imaginative exploration.

    3. Courage and Compassion: We approach our work with courage and empathy. Our volunteer/animal teams fearlessly step into challenging situations, providing comfort and support. We believe that healing often requires bravery, with our children and animals exemplifying this spirit.

    4. Community Connection: We actively engage with our local community, collaborating with healthcare professionals, educators, and facility leaders. By establishing and communicating high standards of practice, we ensure that our animal-assisted intervention positively impacts the lives of children who in turn can take these life skills into the community.
